What I Do

I am losing this weight the healthy way. No crash dieting, no eating disorders, just eating right and staying active. I count calories, carbs, fats and proteins and know that all of these are needed to be successful in losing weight. I use sparkpeople to help me with the counting, and I use it to create meal plans to follow which really help me make sure I don’t eat too much or too little. I also use the website to track my exercise. I try to exercise 5 or 6 days a week, about 20-30 minutes of cardio and then another 15-20 on strength training. I used to be very sedentary and I have been trying to stay more active, whether it’s just moving around the house, cleaning things, taking care of my cat, whatever it may be. Even just moving around while watching TV or a movie is better than just sitting on the couch. It’s really just a few basic changes, but I’m hoping it will lead to a complete lifestyle change in my mind, body and soul.
